I visited there as a very young person, with my mother and a coachload of her Townswomen Guild adventurers.

It's called a castle but I don't think it's a true castle.

Can't be seen on GSV but can be seen in Google's aerial maps  (as per my photo).

It is indeed the old Mereworth Garage, JW. The sign has BSA on one side and Triumph on the other.
