Hi Stewie,
I think you will find that this is indeed Luton, or Mainwarings Mill.
Our windmill specialist bertroid (former kms), can probably tell us a lot more about the history of this mill.
Looking forward to you starting a few more threads!

Apologies for the late reply, but it was Manwaring's Mill, Luton somewhat dubiously alleged to have been moved from Slough in Berkshire, and burned down in 1897. It is shown on the 1869 OS map, a few clicks east of Street End. Later maps mark the word 'Windmill' at Street End, but we decided with some certainty that this was a wind engine. It's at a different place to Mill House though, and would have pumped to a water tank. Perhaps it was moved to be next to Mill House.
