The Pavilion was for ballroom dancing, until the late 1950`s -- when Rock & Roll came in.
The name of Brian Jenner may have been the resident band leader, either at the  Pav `
or at the Parochial Hall at Gillingham Green. --- Both venue`s -- we visited then.

I first knew it as The Pav (pavillion) in the early 60's. Alan Ryder Band was resident.Before that I think it had been a dance hall for many years.
