Windmills seem so prone to catching fire it's amazing that any of them have survived. The ones painted with tar must have been impossible to extinguish once the fire took hold.


This one went in about half an hour.  A millwright was burning material near the mill, is all I would say.  He emigrated to the US shortly afterwards.  Is anyone struggling to add images on here?
