The strange thing Stuart is - I cant get in touch with my surgery - they will NOT answer phones +
the surgery door is locked - no letter box either. My our doctor who I saw at the vaccination - has
left the practice - so technically - he is no longer my doctor. He was one - who supervised the mass
vaccine at the Lordswood Centre on Jan 7th.

Been stuck in doors self isolating both of us tested positive, so get the injection as soon as you can. Its tough being stuck in doors and not feeling too well.

Never had any reaction from the jab - until the week after - then a sharp pain when I moved my
left arm/hand to the back/side One of the worst pains - I had experienced (I get a dull ache, most
other times) then I was careful not to move my arm to the back - (every one had a left arm vaccine)
One man insisted in his right arm - but no ALL in left arm. My jab was the German one `Pfizer Biontec.
It was a cancellation phone call  (no letter) at 11.00am for a 6.40pm jab - on Jan 7 th - at Lordswood.
No return date given - as it is in the letter most people receive - Ask - if it is a cancellation - as a card
is given - where YOU write the vaccine on the card /where/when - (card is blank for return date too )

If you get a cancellation VACCINE slot - MAKE SURE - before you leave - to ask about your 2nd Jab
`Where & when ` as it would be on a letter - YOU never received - Its wise to know these things.

I studied the leaflet they gave me last evening - I saw this vaccine has the 2nd jab in 21 days.
Instead of what I thought - 13 to 15 weeks time. (seems like 12 weeks now - thanks Lutonman)
Strange - my X - had a notice that her jab was to be in Dec - but was cancelled the day before
she was due to have it -  mine coincided with the day - she would have had her 2nd jab.
This one at the Lordswood Centre - was a mass vaccination - I kept six feet apart - others did not.
When we queued up  - to get into the vaccine room - they were inches apart - I went along the passage - to be that six foot gap - a lady with a walker - grabbed my place - I let her have it.

They gave me the offer of ten minute slots -  from 6.40pm to 7.10pm - one on Saturday at 8.15.am.

Good to hear that Castle261.  It seems therefore as if Stewie's gloomy announcement isn't quite the full story.  It did seem odd that vaccinations started elsewhere in December and yet in Medway we had to wait until January 11.  As a "hotspot" I'd have thought we were a priority.

We nearly cancelled because of icy roads - this was at Lordswood in Medway.
My own Doctor was in the Centre - he greeted me at the door - as I was not
on `the list`- he `vouched ` for me. Feeling ok today - no problems.

I do miss going `out`- as I used to go to the Savacentre most days for my `pot of tea`
& to meet friends ( nearly all gone now )

Castle261, I hope your first jab went to plan. Fingers crossed this means you will be able to venture out a little this year.

Sounds like Boris' much vaunted medical priorities are in fact a postcode lottery.  :(
