Great Picture with the works still in place, just before it was puller down I guess. The holders will be going sometime but I have not heard when.

Great Photo Lutonman. It is interesting to see how close to the Lower Rainham Road the water came in those days.
The KCC KLIS map shows how it was reclaimed. Look at the 1946 view and then compare with the 1990 view. If you have not used the KLIS map before then zoom in to the area of interest and click the "Map View" tab. This will bring up the aerial photos on the right hand side of the screen.
