It was nice to meet another Member at an interesting Location today.
We were both viewing the One:One Collection that the Owners have no plans to open to the Public again!

Nice to see you JW

Google says
"No, you cannot renew a site certificate without having the necessary access and information, even if you are not the original owner of the certificate. The renewal process typically requires access to the private key associated with the certificate, which is essential for proving ownership and generating the new certificate."

As I type, there are 777 "guests" viewing the site. I suspect that most of those are bots and automated data miners, rather than Kent history buffs. They will bump up the viewing figures.

As far as I can ascertain the cert can only be renewed by the host of the Forum which is Stuart. There may be a way round hopefully someone will know.

Good Evening to all that have been online today, we had 5345 views which is a record.

Are there any people that have the IT knowledge on how to renew our Certificate and restore the Forum?

We are up to 4 now on the breakaway Facebook group. That is almost enough to try playing a GTP game on the Facebook group. It would nice to see some others join the group and get a GTP up and running there. Please consider it.

That is 3 of us in the Facebook group now. Hopefully more of you might join. I have posted an easy GTP image just to test how GTP might work in Facebook.

I did not see it replacing KHF to be honest. It was more a way of letting those members stay in touch with each other who want to. Since you can post photos in facebook, it could also provide a Guess The Place equivalent, if enough people wanting to continue playing were to join up.

It is not the best platform to post and categorise and record historic information. There is nothing stopping people making posts with information like on KHF if you want to, and of course, people could reply and add info and comment. It would just not be indexed and categorised. There is a facebook group search if data was to be added and people wanted to find specifics

Hi Localhiker

I've joined, but I'm not sure the architecture of Facebook lends itself to GTP.  Let's see hown it goes.

Best wishes

Another attempt to create a facebook group where any of us that wish to keep in touch could do so.
Also might be able to carry on a Guess The Place of some sort if enough people show an interest.

I do hope all works itself out. This time I got straight in and without any fuss.
