There used to be some sort of pier type structure between the Road and the Salt water Square pool roughly in front of the railway Station area.I dont recall it in the 1970's!

Hi all. Hoping someone can help and apologies if it’s already been posted elsewhere. I remember as a child somewhere between the mid to late seventies going to an amusement arcade in Margate that’s long since gone. It would roughly have been opposite where the toilets are now, just across from the station. It would have been pier like in as much as it went out over the sea via woooden slats, and there were two entries on to the structure. There were the usual mix of amusement machines and I particularly remember having a bag of half-pees. I’m guessing it was lost to the elements. Anyone else recall this place and what it was called?
