Roll Up, Roll Up.... have a go, Guess the Place

No big cash prizes, well no prizes at all actually, all just for a bit of fun.

Go on, amaze yourself and find the answer.

Found it but will hold back as I've only just had a GTP.

A simple map clue, can be viewed on nlsmaps, 6inch OS.

The hamlet name has been removed, but everything else is still there, even the pub name. It Closed some time ago.

Mid Kent.

Maybe a guess from someone new?

Is the river  the River Stour?

The closest river is a tributary of the Great Stour. .  You're closing in.

Apologies - I might have given the wrong answer earlier, as during my visit it gave every indication of being in use but I've just read that it's a redundant Anglican church.

Thanks, JohnFilmer

I've driven past that area many times and had no idea there was a theatre there.

Next one ....

It is indeed JW, home to what started as Rainham Amateur Theatrical Society aka RATS, back in the mid 60s.

My sister did a while as an active performer in those days. My mother was an active supporter until her death in 1989.

I remember it as a very small, intimate space, a real theatre in miniature, with a decent bar… oh and some very competent actors and singers, even writing and performing a complete musical during my sister’s time there.

Over to you JW
