I remember going shopping here with my Mother - as far as I know it was the first shop in Chatham to have automatic doors. As she got on with the shopping I used to hang around near them just to watch the reactions of people as they went to push open the door, only for it to magically open for them!

Sainsbury's have a neat little archive of photographs from their old stores.
